Travel is a hobby of mine. Visiting Outlander sites is especially fun! I have teamed up with the Blue Horizon travel
agency and we are offering tours to places from our beloved Outlander books.
First up is Jamaica February 17-23, 2019! Plan a getaway with your husband or girlfriends now!
Jamaica literally means "The Land of Wood and Water" and is a perfect description of this beautiful island! I have found
the people of Jamaica friendly and very helpful to the tourists whose dollars make up a large part of the economy.
In the book Voyager, Jamie and Claire and the rest of the gang spent some time on the island. Remember the scenes at Rose Hall with Mrs. Abernathy and buying bat guano to sell for fertilizer? Well, we won't visit the bat guano caves because of risk of disease but we will visit an underground cave like Abandawe may have been. Rose Hall, Edinburgh Castle, Rum Tasting, a trip to YS Falls, and Jamaica's own Culloden will also be on our itinerary. See where the real Archibald Campbell lived!
With six nights at this tropical heaven, we will have three full days of unscheduled time to relax by the pool or take in other sites. Cliff diving is not on my wishlist but River Rafting, a beach massage, and a walk on the beach is! Other possibilities are Ziplining, a Glass Bottom Kayak ride, Biking in the Blue Mountains, or a Horseback ride in the surf, just to name a few.
The brochure below will give you all the details about our Thru The Stones/Outlander adventure to some of the Scottish
sites found in Jamaica. Do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions! I look forward to being your tour host and all
of our Outlandish conversation! Here is a link to the brochure on Blue Horizon's website:
I hope you will join us in Jamaica! Debbie
